February 2024 – Tawahkaro Distillery Tour
Recently, we took a little trip down to Tahwaharo Distillery to visit and take a tour. We called a few days prior and arranged our tour. The wife and I drove down from Fort Worth. It was about a 2-ish hour drive to Palestine, Tx, which is a nice little town surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. What a fantastic experience!
The distillery was a little bit tricky to get to, but it was easily marked when we found it. The building is modern with an industrial vibe inside. My wife and I were the only ones on the tour, so we were encouraged to ask as many questions as we had and to take in everything. Their copper still is beautiful and has a very interesting story behind how it was acquired. The tour guide was relaxed and casual as he gave us their history and how the distillery is operated. My wife was impressed that they bottled their own product right there on sight. I was excited to sample some red and blue corn bourbon right out of the barrel!
I have been a fan of Tahwahkaro since they were in Grapevine, Tx. I took a tour of their operation when they were located there and wanted to see their facility now that they’ve moved.
Watch my videos below and follow me on TikTok to see my review of their bourbon!
