The wife and I took another distillery trip to Dennison, Texas where we visited Ironroot Republic Distillery. The drive wasn’t bad from Fort Worth, about an hour. We scheduled a tour online earlier that week. It was a fun experience!

The tour was about two hours. There was a great history of their business, the history of their process, and how they source their product. This distillery has their tour down to a science! We were seated at tables in the still area with our samples on a tray before us and a glass of water. It was more like a class and tour together, which was a change. We like how each distillery has their own style of tour. We took a tour of the warehouse and saw the many barrels they had stocked. They went over more of the processes and encouraged questions. We went back to the tables and then delved into sipping the 7 samples of their product.

Again, this was a great tour! The family who owns and operates Ironroot Republic are very welcoming and nice. They are very involved with the operation of their business and tour. They told us the story about how they obtained their bar and shelving, which was a cool story.

Afterward, my wife and I had lunch at Huck’s Catfish, which was delicious! It was a fun trip.
